About

Eileen Wiesmann

Scholarship and magic, as if they were the same thing.

  • MA in History, Heidelberg University, focus on religious history
  • Shingon Reiki Master
  • Tantra within the Shingon tradition: the living lineage, not Neo-Tantra
  • Shamanic practitioner: Egyptian and wolf shamanism
  • Years of Qigong, meditation and Daoist arts
  • Co-author of the new Shingon Reiki book with Dr. Mark Hosak (in progress)

Eileen grew up convinced that what can be felt is real, even when it cannot be explained. Historical scholarship did not teach her the opposite. It gave her the tools to look deeper.

As a historian focused on religious history, she sees what others overlook: the connections between traditions, the patterns running through cultures and centuries, the actual thing behind what was passed down. That is why Tantra Cat brings together Shingon, Egyptian and Daoist paths. Not as a mix-and-match, but because they share deep roots, and each is honored for what it truly is.

Qigong and meditation have been part of her life for years. Not as a relaxation technique, but as a daily reckoning with what is actually real.

Why sensitive souls

Eileen works especially closely with highly sensitive people: people who perceive a lot, often too much, and who are looking for an anchor. Many of them pushed their perception away for years. Tantra Cat is for them, and for the part of us that never stopped sensing.

Why Tantra, and which Tantra

Not the Neo-Tantra of workshops and weekend retreats, and not a version cleaned of everything bodily either. Tantra here means the old path in which body, senses and spirit are one, where sensuality and a deep, joyful meeting with each other are part of the way, not something to hide.

Shingon Reiki

Together with Dr. Mark Hosak, Eileen carries Shingon Reiki forward and is co-writing the new Shingon Reiki book. If you feel drawn to initiation, the English Shingon Reiki Level 1 events are the natural next step. See the live events.
